Instruct Gen H Legal
Let us know you’re ready and we’ll kick off your property transaction right away.
If you’re buying, this will involve things like ordering searches and working with the seller’s solicitor. If you’re selling, we’ll be drafting your contract and requesting redemption figures from your lender.
If you’re getting a Gen H mortgage, tell your broker you’ve instructed us and you’ll get up to £500 off!

The legal work
Typically 8 to 12 weeks
We’ll work in harmony with the solicitors on the other side of the transaction, your lender, estate agents and the Land Registry. Along the way, we’ll keep you updated on what we find, and you’ll be able to reach out directly with any and all questions.
Then we’ll send you a thorough report detailing everything we’ve learned about your transaction.

Exchange
We start wrapping up the legal process by exchanging contracts and dealing with deposit funds. If you’re buying, you’ll get your move in date!

Completion
Typically 1 week after exchange
Time to celebrate! Moving day is here. We’ll let you know when you can collect your keys, and if you have any final questions, we’ll be here for you.
