1. What is the Gen H Legal Discount for FORA?
1.1. Gen H Legal is a conveyancing firm based in White Collar Factory, a FORA workspace in Old Street, London that is offering a discount on the cost of their legal fees for anyone else who works in a FORA workspace.
1.2. Eligible customers will be entitled to a discount of £210 (inc. VAT) from Gen H Legal’s legal fee.
2. Who is eligible?
2.1. Customers are eligible if they work in a FORA workspace.
2.2. Gen H Legal reserves the right to ask for evidence of eligibility for the discount.
3. How it works
3.1. If the customer is eligible for the FORA discount, please follow these steps to get a quote for the Gen H Legal conveyancing services:
-
Please send an email to [email protected] with the subject heading ‘FORA Quote’ and provide:
- full name, postal address, email address and mobile number of all buyers or sellers;
- purchase/sale property address, purchase/sale price;
- confirmation whether the property is freehold or leasehold; and
- in the case of a property purchase, confirmation if the purchase will result in the buyer owning more than one property.
-
Or please call Gen H Legal on 020 8396 7220 to provide the personal and property details listed above. Mention that the matter is eligible for the FORA discount.
3.2. If a property sale or purchase transaction falls through before completion, Gen H Legal will charge a legal fee that is a percentage of the total quoted fee based upon the milestone reached in the transaction before it became abortive. In these circumstances the discount will be applied pro rata.
3.3. Gen H Legal offers a failed transaction fixed fee guarantee at a cost of £210 (inc. VAT) and legal fees (excluding any third party costs that have been incurred) will be capped at £210 (inc. VAT). If this option is taken then the discount would not apply.
3.4. Any request for a discount after completion of a transaction will be invalid.
4. Exclusions
4.1. The discount of £210 (inc. VAT) can be used for a purchase or sale transaction with Gen H Legal:
(a) If Gen H Legal is instructed to act in relation to a single property transaction such as a purchase or sale then when the transaction completes, a discount of £210 (inc. VAT) will be applied to the legal fee.
(b) If Gen H Legal is instructed to sell a property and to purchase a property, the discount will apply to each transaction on completion, resulting in a total legal fee discount of £420 (inc. VAT).
4.2. The discount cannot apply to more than one sale transaction or more than one purchase transaction:
(a) For example, if Gen H Legal are instructed to act in selling two or more properties either at the same time or at different times in the future, the discount can only be applied to one property sale, meaning a total discount of £210 (inc. VAT) can be applied for the two or more transactions.
(b) Another example to illustrate this is that if Gen H Legal are instructed to act on in selling two properties and purchasing one property, the discount can be applied to one property sale and one property purchase resulting in a total discount of £420 (inc. VAT) across the three transactions.
4.3. If one or more customers working in a FORA workspace are buying or selling a property jointly then the discount can only apply once in relation to each property sale or purchase.
4.4. If the property being purchased or sold is:
(a) worth more than £2,000,000;
(b) located outside of England and Wales; and/or
(c) not residential;
Gen H Legal will not be able to act and the discount is invalid.
4.5. These Terms and Conditions relate only to the discount and are separate to any contract entered into between customers and Gen H Legal for the provision of conveyancing services for purchasing or selling properties.
4.6. If there are any inconsistencies between these Terms and Conditions and the terms of a contract entered into between customers and Gen H Legal, the terms of the contract between the customer and Gen H Legal will apply.
5. Abuse of the terms
5.1. Gen H Legal has the right to refuse to apply the discount if we suspect that you have not acted in good faith or are in breach of any of these Terms and Conditions.
5.2. When there has been a breach of the referral terms, Gen H Legal may take such action as we believe appropriate, including (but not limited to) refusing to apply the discount.
